Full judgment

MR JUSTICE FORDHAM: 1. This is an extradition appeal which was due to take place today. On 21 February 2023 the Appellant died at a hospice in Yorkshire. The death certificate was provided by the late Appellant’s solicitors to the Respondent and the Court. The Court communicated that, in the circumstances, it was minded to list the case for disposal with no attendance. Observations were invited and neither of the parties raised any concern or suggested alternative. I will include a recital that “UPON the Court being satisfied that this Order is appropriate in the circumstances and for the reasons described in the Judgment [2023] EWHC 580 (Admin) ”. I will order: “(1) No order on the appeal save that the appeal is hereby disposed of and finally determined. (2) No order as to costs save that there be a detailed assessment of the Appellant’s publicly funded costs.” 16.3.23
